It is a great pleasure to announce the first Oxford Old Frisian Summer School, taking place in Oxford, St Edmund Hall/Taylor Institution Library from 8th-13th July, organised in close co-operation with the university of Groningen. Special topic: Anglo-Frisian connections.
Why a summer school?
In Oxford, there is hardly any opportunity to study Old Frisian within the normal curriculum. The summer school is meant to give students and early career researchers who are interested in Old Frisian in the context of Old Germanic, especially Old English, a chance to get acquainted with this small but fascinating member of the Old Germanic language family.
